Junior Assistant Art Director – Private Labels

As part of the development of its private label collections, Smallable is looking for a Junior Assistant Art Director to support the creative team in graphic design and project coordination.

Within the creative studio, you will contribute to the development of visual worlds for textile and lifestyle collections—from pattern creation to multi-channel communication materials.

Your responsibilities will include :

Designing and executing placed prints and all-over patterns (illustration, textures, repeats).

Contributing to the visual identity of in-house brand collections.

Assisting in the creation and layout of product technical sheets (textile, accessories, home decor, etc.).

Preparing production-ready files in collaboration with stylists and product managers.

Designing communication tools related to the collections, such as :

Visuals and videos for the website

Content for social media (posts, stories, reels)

Visuals for newsletters, paid social campaigns, and other communication channels

Conducting aesthetic trend monitoring and image research (children’s fashion, home decor, lifestyle).

Collaborating with stylists, product managers, and the marketing team to ensure consistent visual identity.

Required Skills :

Strong command of Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).

Video editing skills (Premiere Pro, After Effects, etc.) are a plus.

Good eye for composition, textile patterns, color, and detail.

Ability to create original visuals in various graphic styles (illustrative, geometric, abstract, etc.).

Understanding of technical constraints related to textile printing and digital media.

Proficiency in laying out technical documents and commercial visuals.

Profile Sought :

Higher education in graphic design, textile design, or applied arts.

Initial experience (including internships or apprenticeships) in a textile studio or brand.

Team spirit, attention to detail, curiosity, and strong sensitivity to the worlds of fashion, children, and interior design.

Motivation to be involved in a comprehensive creative project, from design to product communication.
