Sales Executive – Freight Forwarding

Job Summary:
Responsible for developing new business and maintaining relationships with existing customers by promoting freight forwarding, shipping, and logistics services. The Sales Executive identifies customer needs, prepares quotations, negotiates rates, and works with operations teams to ensure smooth shipment handling.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new customers and business opportunities.

• Promote air freight, sea freight, land transportation, customs clearance, and logistics services.

• Maintain strong relationships with existing clients and provide regular follow-up.

• Prepare quotations and negotiate pricing and service terms.

• Coordinate with operations and customer service teams to ensure shipments are handled efficiently.

• Follow up on sales leads, inquiries, quotations, and pending business.

• Meet monthly and annual sales targets.

• Monitor market trends, competitor rates, and customer requirements.

• Visit customers and attend business meetings when required.

• Maintain accurate records of customer information, sales activities, and opportunities.

• Handle customer complaints and coordinate solutions with the relevant departments.

• Prepare regular sales reports for management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Logistics, or a related field is preferred.

• Experience in freight forwarding, shipping, logistics, or transportation sales is an advantage.

• Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

• Ability to build and maintain customer relationships.

• Knowledge of international shipping and freight forwarding procedures.

• Target-oriented and self-motivated.

• Good English communication skills.

• Good knowledge of MS Office and CRM systems.
