Pre-Sales and Procurement Engineer

About Our Client:

Our client is a UAE-based company offering electronic test systems, test and measurement devices, and software tools to tech companies in the Middle East, helping them accelerate product development and test. The company also specializes in the sourcing and supply of electronic hardware, IT infrastructure, and GPUs to clients across the region. It works with global manufacturers, authorized distributors, and specialist suppliers, managing complex procurement cycles from quotation through to delivery.

Role Purpose:

As the Pre-Sales and Procurement Engineer, you'll provide pre-sales support and procurement support on the company's electronic products to customers in the Middle East region. Your responsibilities will encompass supply chain management, procurement, operations, and ensuring timely shipping and delivery to our valued customers.

The role owns the full cycle from sourcing and quotation through supplier negotiation, order placement, and follow-up to delivery. It is an office-based role in Kab Elias, suited to a fast, numerate, and detail-driven individual who can take ownership of the process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sourcing: Identify and qualify suppliers across China, the USA, and Europe for electronic hardware, IT infrastructure, and GPUs.
• Quotations: Prepare accurate quotations, build and maintain pricing sheets, and ensure competitiveness and correct margin.
• Procurement and negotiation: Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with global suppliers to secure the best deals.
• Price comparison: Continuously compare pricing and terms across suppliers to protect cost-effectiveness and profitability.
• Order management: Place orders, follow up on order status, and coordinate timely and accurate shipping and delivery.
• Supply chain coordination: Manage the flow from supplier to customer, including order processing and quality checks.
• Pre-sales support: Provide product information, technical specifications, and pricing to support customers.
• Shipping and Delivery: Ensure timely and accurate shipping and delivery of orders to customers, coordinating with logistics and shipping partners.
• Customer Satisfaction: Maintain open communication with customers, address inquiries, and resolve any issues promptly to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction

Candidate Profile:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Telecom, or Computer) preferred, or equivalent technical familiarity combined with strong procurement and commercial experience.
• Experience: 2 to 5 years in a procurement, supply chain, or technical pre-sales environment.
• Numbers: Sharp with numbers, pricing, and profitability.
• Software: Strong Microsoft Excel skills, comfortable with pricing sheets and data.
• Attention to detail: Strong memory and high accuracy when handling part numbers, specifications, and prices.
• Pace: Very fast, dynamic, and able to work under pressure.
• Ownership: Self-managing, takes ownership, and can run the process independently after induction.
• Language: Excellent verbal and written English.
